Coach Bay has played a large part in the development of Challenge U. Softball. At the age of 11, Coach Bay started receiving private catching and hitting lessons with the owner of C.U., Coach Lisa. Now being a former NCAA softball standout, she has become one of the most well-respected catching and hitting coaches at C.U. Coach represents the student-now-turned-teacher who brings her experience, passion, dedication, and motivation to all athletes that she works with.
Coach is the epitome of a dedicated NCAA softball player. Throughout her career at Roger Williams University she excelled at the plate and behind the plate due to her passion, drive, and commitment to continually raising her bar in the game of softball.
Coach Bay has been playing softball since she was 7 years old. She started every game and played every inning throughout her high school career as a varsity catcher throughout all four years. During this time, she received multiple honors, including Second-Team All-Conference, three-time First-Team All-Conference, was selected to the Morris Country All Coaches Team in her senior year, and was Team Captain.
During her NCAA career at Roger Williams University, Coach Bay was a consistent hitter and presence behind the plate. Due to her passion, softball IQ, and grit Coach became a reputable catcher and hitter in her conference. She excelled on the field and academically as she was named All-CCC Third-Team in 2021, All-CCC Academic Team, and an NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete all five years of her athletic career. These accolades are a testament to the woman Bay is, hard-working, goal-oriented, driven, and hungry. All traits that she brings to each and every athlete that she works with.
Coach Bay has proven that with hard work, determination, and passion anyone can dominate on the field. Coach may only stand at 5’0, but she is proof that with commitment, will, and a drive to succeed nothing can stop you.
She approaches her lessons with the belief that any athlete can and will achieve their goals with the right mindset, drive, and determination to succeed. Coach has a wealth of knowledge, experience, and skills that make her ready to take her athletes to the next level. She is known to be one of the most caring, compassionate, and determined instructors in the game.
Coach Bay's ability to connect with all of her Challenge U. athletes has led Coach her to become the NJ Challenge 14U Club team assistant coach. Coach still enjoys the game, so do not be surprised if she jumps in to demo drills for you!
