CHALLENGE U. SOFTBALL® SKILLS VIDEO PRODUCTION
WE ARE NOW OPEN FOR SPRING SKILLS VIDEO SHOOTS. LOCK IN YOUR SPOT TODAY!
Since 2007 Challenge U. Softball® has been providing NCAA bound softball athletes with premier skills videos to showcase their talent to NCAA collegiate coaches. The videos created by Challenge U. are formulated by the founder of C.U. and the National C.U.D.I.T.® Licensing Program, Coach Lisa former NCAA Coach and recruiter. This gives us an unparalleled insight into the exact demands and needs that a college recruiting video should meet.
Challenge U. creates a skills production shoot that is similar to any live showcase while simulating live situations. On production day, we will shoot a limited number of repetitions of multiple aspects of the game allowing you to showcase all of your skills. From that set of reps, the best clips will be included in your skills video. Our process was designed to give coaches an accurate representation of each player. It is important to realize that the FIRST step to getting recruited is producing a skills video and showcasing your actual skill.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Should ONLY a high school junior get a skills video done?
-ABSOLUTELY NOT. College coaches are looking at recruits earlier and earlier. Verbal commitments have increased dramatically over the years with players as young as 8th grade. Coaches want to see video of up and coming softball players as much, if not more, than the current junior class. The recruiting process should begin your Freshman year of high school.
How long should my skills video be?
-College coaches receive thousands of skills videos per year. The key is to keep it 4-7 minutes and grab the attention of the coach right away with: good form, consistency, aggressive nature, and a hard working attitude throughout the entire video. Avoid the extras including: fancy intros, live game feed, loud music, and extra long exposure to one aspect of the game.
There are thousands of players trying to get recruited, how will I stand out?
-The key is to have an impressive player profile, be on a club team with a solid reputation and a connected coach, post your skills video and profile on many recruitment websites, e-mail the coach of the school that you would like to play for with your skills video, profile, schedule, and follow up with a phone call: NOT FROM YOUR PARENTS. Be persistent if it is the number 1 college of your choice.
