CATCH: The Ultimate Preseason Catcher’s Training Camp

Welcome to CATCH, our 14th annual four-week preseason training camp designed specifically for catchers looking to elevate their skills and dominate behind the plate.

Catchers are the backbone of any team, yet often the most underrated position on the field. A great catcher ensures pitchers thrive with confidence, pitches are framed, bases stay locked down with quick throw downs, and leadership radiates with powerful vocals and game awareness. Without a strong catcher, games can be lost.

That’s why CATCH is a premier training clinic at CU – offering everything you need to become a leader behind the plate.

This 60-minute weekly training progression includes six+ dynamic drill stations to improve catching fundamentals, build self-confidence, develop muscle memory, and enhance overall game ability. Each session combines self-confidence coaching with physical training to prepare athletes for their season and beyond.

Key mechanics addressed during the clinic include receiving, framing, blocking, throwdowns, bunt defense, pop-ups, communication and leadership, speed and agility, and more. The program will also include “The Confident Catcher” wrap-up talk, designed to inspire leadership and self-assurance behind the plate.

All ages are welcome, and athletes will be grouped and trained according to their age and ability level to ensure a tailored experience.

Dates: Sundays – 2/2/25, 2/9/25, 2/16/25, 2/23/25
Time: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Price: $149

Only athletes are permitted in the training space to create an environment of accountability and focus. Parents can observe from the waiting room, hallway, or outdoor areas, or simply pick up their athlete at the end of the session.

Refund Policy: If a parent cancels at least seven days prior to camp, they will receive a full refund. If a parent cancels within seven days of camp, the camp fee is non-refundable.
