Coach Caitlin has always had a love for the game of softball. This love started from when she was seven years old and continued on to her last NCAA collegiate game. Today, Coach Caitlin's passion for the game is alive more than ever as she trains dozens of pitchers at Challenge U. Softball.
For her high school career, Coach played at Northern Highlands High School as a pitcher and first baseman. She helped lead her high school team to multiple league championships and the program’s first ever Bergen County Championship against IHA. During this time, she received multiple honors including Second Team All-League and First Team All-League. Due to her leadership and presence (on and off the mound), Coach was named Team Captain her senior year.
After high school, Coach Caitlin went on to continue her softball career at the University of Scranton mainly as a pitcher, but would occasionally play first base. During her pitching career in college, she was able to hold opponents to a .250 batting average. She helped her team to the Landmark Conference Championship game, placing 2nd overall in the tournament. She played for two years before sustaining an injury and having her senior season canceled due to the pandemic.
Coach Caitlin recently received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and works with athletes to help them return to their sport after an injury. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist further strengthening her passion for fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She loves helping athletes reach their peak level of performance, as well as bringing awareness to injury prevention throughout each lesson.
Coach has always had a passion for coaching. She started her coaching journey after high school where she assisted at Challenge U. Softball summer camps. Most recently she was the head coach of a 16U club team for and helped them to the championship games and qualified for the National's tournament as well.
She believes that every athlete that has the drive, discipline and motivation to succeed can and will succeed. She has had her share of setbacks and strongly believes that mental toughness is one of the most important characteristics for any one whether it’s on or off the field. Now being a former NCAA softball standout, she has become one of the most well-respected pitching coaches at C.U.
