Lexi “Kak” Kakolewski is a left-handed pitcher, slapper, and outfielder from Midland Park, NJ. She is a varsity softball player at Midland Park High School and currently competes for the NJ Challenge 18U Showcase team.

Lexi has been part of the Challenge U. family for the past seven years, training consistently each week, and has played within the NJ Challenge organization for five years. Her commitment to her development has given her a strong foundation in pitching, slapping, hitting, fielding, and overall softball IQ. Throughout her playing career, Lexi has earned All-League honors, multiple Scholar Athlete honors, and recognition as a USSSA Direct Invite All American and USSSA Select 30 athlete.

What makes Lexi a strong Junior Coach goes beyond her experience as a player. She genuinely enjoys working with younger athletes and understands the patience, encouragement, and consistency it takes to develop new skills. Having grown through the Challenge U. program herself, she understands the training process and the importance of building confidence alongside fundamentals. She strives to create an environment where young athletes feel supported, challenged, and excited to keep improving.

Lexi also demonstrates leadership both on the field and in the classroom. Her multiple Scholar Athlete honors reflect her commitment to balancing academics and athletics, while her years of training and competing have taught her discipline, accountability, and perseverance.

Lexi hopes to continue her softball career at the collegiate level while pursuing her goal of becoming a math teacher. Her passion for teaching makes coaching a natural extension of who she is, and she looks forward to sharing the knowledge and experiences she has gained at Challenge U. with the next generation of athletes.
