Coach Ramie brings a positive, detail-oriented, and athlete-first approach to every training session. A former Challenge U. athlete herself, Ramie grew up training within the CU environment and now has the opportunity to give back to the next generation of athletes as a member of the coaching staff. Having experienced Challenge U. from both sides gives her a unique ability to connect with young players and understand the development process from an athlete’s perspective.

A native of Washingtonville, New York, Coach Ramie fell in love with softball at eleven years old and has remained passionate about the game ever since. She became a four-year varsity starter at Washingtonville High School, competing as a corner infielder at both first and third base. Her dedication to the game has allowed her to continue her softball career at the next level as an NCAA collegiate athlete.

Throughout her playing career, Coach Ramie has been known for bringing a composed, steady presence to the field while competing with confidence and purpose. She capped her high school career with an impressive .408 batting average and .510 slugging percentage, further developing the offensive and defensive knowledge she now brings to the athletes she trains.

Coach Ramie’s coaching philosophy has been shaped by years of learning from her own coaches and experiencing firsthand the dedication, patience, consistency, and grit required to develop as an athlete. As a coach, she places a strong emphasis on fundamentals, quality repetitions, effort, resilience, and coachability. She believes athletes develop best when they understand not only what adjustment they are making, but why they are making it.

Just as importantly, Coach Ramie believes the mental side of the game deserves the same attention as the physical side. She encourages her athletes to work through mistakes, stay open to feedback, trust their training, and become more confident competitors. She understands that progress looks different for every athlete and takes pride in meeting players where they are while continuing to challenge them to reach the next level.

Above all, Coach Ramie is passionate about creating a supportive, encouraging, and positive training environment where athletes feel comfortable being challenged, making adjustments, and growing. For Ramie, becoming a Challenge U. coach is a full-circle opportunity to give back to the same training environment that was part of her own development and to help young athletes become stronger, more confident versions of themselves both on and off the field.
