Coach Carly B. is a prime example of a former top softball player who turned her passion for the game into a profession at Challenge U. Softball®.  Due to her skills, passion, elite instruction, and work ethic she has become one of the most requested hitting, fielding, and catching CUDIT Certified coaches at CU.  She is also the Director of the C.U. NCAA Softball Showcase

 

From a young age, Coach Carly had an undeniable love for the game. As soon as Coach was able to join an organized softball program, she did. In doing so, she became one of the most well-known catchers and top power house hitters in the state of NJ. Coach joined her first club team at 10U and helped lead her teams to dozens of league/tourney championships over the span of eight years. 

 

Coach Carly started on the Ramapo Softball Varsity team as a freshman and helped lead them to NBIL League Champion status with All League and Second Team All County Honors in her first year.  The team repeated the feat in her sophomore year as well.  As a junior, Coach and Ramapo beat the Hulk IHA to win the County Championship, the first since 1978.  Coach earned All League and All County honors and was named team captain after that season.  In her final season, Coach was honored with First Team All State following another year with a League Championship. Coach's leadership skills shined at a young age.

 

Coach's commitment and talent led her to also play two seasons for the Junior Olympic qualifying team Rockland Thunder out of New York State.  She spent those two years traveling and meeting incredibly passionate players such as herself.

 

Coach Carly was recruited to play for The College of New Jersey. She played one season for the TCNJ Lions before deciding to focus on her major and career.  It was at this time that she helped to Co-Create The TCNJ Lions Club Softball Team.  In their first season they were ranked as high as second in the nation in tournament play.

 

Upon graduation, Coach Carly pursued her passion in television production combined with sports becoming a producer for MSG Varsity, working with students across the tri state. Since 2017, Coach Carly has worked for MLB Television Network, winning two Emmys as an Associate Producer.

 

Coach Carly has been with Challenge U Softball for since 2020 working with several high level athletes including a NY State Champion Catcher as well as several NCAA committed athletes.  

 

Coach Carly’s passion has included co-founding the Challenge U. NCAA Softball Showcase which had its debut in August 2022.  Coach Carly enjoys working with not only the athletes but garnering incredible relationships with the college coaches and beyond.

Coach Carly is a premier Challenge U. Softball catching, hitting, and fielding instructor. Due to her leadership skills, she is also a CU head clinic director leading many CU Softball camps throughout the tri-state. She brings knowledge, wisdom, energy, and motivation to each and every lesson that she holds at CU, while instilling mental toughness in each of her athletes at CU.  Be sure to bring your HUSTLE, FOCUS, and DEDICATION when training with Coach Carly B!
